Michael Knecht
Michael Knecht is a founding partner of SIGLO, a member of management and the board of directors, and a portfolio manager for ILS mandates. He started his professional career in 2001 at PPCmetrics AG, a consulting firm for Swiss pension funds. As a consultant, he supported institutional clients in the selection of asset managers and the implementation of investment strategies. In addition, he was in responsible for the competence centre for hedge funds and absolute return strategies. From March 2007 to April 2010, Michael worked as a senior portfolio manager at Harcourt Investment Consulting AG, managing mainly segregated fund of hedge funds portfolios for institutional clients. Michael studied economics at the University of Zurich with a focus on finance and capital market theory and has written several articles on hedge funds in an overall portfolio context. He is fluent in German and English.
