Dr. Raffaele Dell'Amore

Dr. Raffaele Dell'Amore joined SIGLO in 2020 as ILS portfolio manager and has, since 2021, led the ILS centre of competence as a partner. He started his career in 2009 at the reinsurer SCOR, where his responsibilities in actuarial analysis included the aggregation and capital allocation of natural catastrophe risks at group level. Between 2011 and 2013, he worked at Deloitte AG Switzerland in the area of financial risk management, advising insurance and reinsurance companies on capital requirements in the regulatory regime of Solvency II and the Swiss Solvency Test (SST) as well as the validation of natural catastrophe models. From 2013, he worked at Schroder-Secquaero in various positions, the last four years as deputy portfolio manager and co-responsible for investment decisions in the liquid and private ILS strategies. Prior to joining SIGLO, Raffaele was head of strategy and portfolio manager of the private ILS portfolios and mandates at Twelve Capital AG. In this role, he was responsible for investment decisions and their outcomes, as well as the strategic development of the asset class. After studying physics at ETH Zurich, he completed his PhD in solid state physics at the University of Zurich in 2009. He is fluent in German, English, Italian and French.
