Ramona Affolter, lic.iur., joined SIGLO in 2020 as legal and compliance officer. Her professional career began in 2010 at the Bülach District Court. As a court clerk, she assessed and substantiated judgments in civil and criminal cases from 2011 to 2014, prepared settlement proposals, many of which included a high level of complexity, and trained new legal staff. In May 2014, she moved to Schroder Investment Management (Switzerland) AG and, as legal and compliance officer, was responsible for clarifying fund-specific legal and compliance issues as well as monitoring compliance with internal and external standards. She also advised the various divisions on corporate, contractual and labour law matters. In August 2019, she took up a position as legal and compliance officer at the self-regulatory organisation PolyReg and was mainly responsible for the review of membership applications under financial market law. In addition, she drafted sanction decisions and managed the litigation of collection and arbitration proceedings. Ramona studied law at the University of Zurich and is fluent in German and English.
