Prof. Dr. Thomas Jutzi

Prof. Dr. Thomas Jutzi, born 1978 in Switzerland, has held the position of professor of economic law since 2017 and has been director at the Institute of Business Law at the University of Bern since 2013. Prior to his assistant professorship at the University of Bern from 2012 to 2017, he was worked as a senior specialist for policy and regulation at FINMA from 2011 to 2012. After completing his law studies at the University of Bern, Thomas worked at Pestalozzi Lachenal Patry and from 2008 to 2012 as an attorney-at-law at Niederer Kraft & Frey – both are law firms Zürich. In 2010, Thomas was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, and, in 2008, a doctorate in the Faculty of Law from the University of Bern.
